Oh Alex

The Advent Calendar strikes again.  On this day we were to have a pj day, make popcorn, open and watch a new movie together.

Alex took this very seriously.  She made a recliner out of blankets, got out her neck rest, and enjoyed the movie with popcorn and drink close at hand.

It was nice having a full day of doing nothing but enjoying the company of my kids!

New Traditions!!

This year I felt like we needed some new traditions.  I made an Advent Calendar that has us doing a family activity together every day. (This Mom LOVES it)

On this day it called for each kid to open a package, and play a game together.  They each got a mug and a fun add in for their hot coco.

Band (Bre)

Two days later we attended Bres band concert.

What a look she has on her face.  (She never did see us in the audience)  Her band is a combination of 4 different bands that practice at two different schools. (they only had 3 practices with everyone in attendance)  Bre has to go to early morning band 3 days a week before school starts, because she doesn't have enough room in her schedule. (AVID- independent studies class that preps the kids for college, and advanced math)

Turns out we had a better view of the neighbor boy (in red tie) then we did Bre.  I need to trade pics with his mom, she got some good ones of Bre.

The first week in Dec. we attended Mikes band concert.

A Gum Party!

Our Advent Calendar told us to have a Gum Party!

We needed to celebrate Bre getting her braces off!

We also needed to see if she would remember how to blow a bubble! 

Each kids got a Christmas bag with 5 packs of gum!
