Toady

We went to Buffalo River with some good friends.  The day started out cold.  While we were trying to get brave about the water Racquel found a toad.

My girls loved it.  Alex played and played with it till we finally made her let it go before she hurt it.

Tentin'

Once back from our first vacation we thought it would be fun to put up the tent.  (Make sure everything was there and working)

In just a few minutes Mike and I had it up and the girls crawled in to read and play.

We also set up the suitcase picnic table my parents passed on to us.  It's perfect for the four of us and our little patio.

So we had a little picnic and grilled.

We also made smores on the grill.

Her Turn



Last week when we were home for Mom and Mikes birthdays, Papa asked the girls if one of them wanted a turn to stay with them like Mike did.  Alex being the smart girl that she is raised her hand and jumped up and down claiming the opportunity.  I had thought that after a day or two I would get a sad little call from her wanting to come home but I was wrong.  On the fourth day I did hear from her but she was happy and enjoying all the attention that Grandma and Papa have for her.  I am so thankful to have such great parents that love my kids so much and do things like this to make them feel so special.

Papa's Park

Years ago the kids named the swing set Papa's Park.  Until now Alex was the only one small enough to still play on it.

Alex has so much fun being the BIG KID.

House on the Rock Inn

After a small hiccup with our reservation we got settled in our room.  John and his family had a room, Mom Dad the kids and myself had a Deluxe two room.  Mom and Dad had the private room, the kids and I had two queens and a pull-out.

Alex putting on the lotion from the bathroom.  She thought it was so cool that they gave you lotion, she asked Papa and Grandma if she could have them.  I love when kids are so easy to please.



Hot Tubbin'

Mom and Dad enjoyed the hot tub while we were swimming in the outdoor pool.

When we were all chilled from the pool we thawed out in the hot tub.

Poor Dad was so tired from the long trip.  You can also see the big indoor pool in the background.
