I always know that I love watching my kids play sports, but knowing and doing are very different. Watching Mike play again was so great, I just really LOVE it. (it's so hard to explain)
Mike (number 33) had his first game of the year on Friday, and what a game it was. Mike played a very active role in the game. His rebounding this year is so much better, he was where he needed to be fighting for the ball, he SUNK a 3 pointer in the first half, had several steals, and lots of assists.
Mike is on the other side of # 3, keeping his eye on the ball (for a possible rebound) and his hand on the guy he was guarding so he doesn't lose him.
Mike taking his turn on the bench.
Mike is under the hoop blocking the shot. At some point in the game #35 in the white fell on him, he also ended up with a stubbed finger.
#32 trying to tell Mike he wouldn't get the rebound off the free throw and he was wrong cuz Mike DID!!
We had the lead for most of the game. The last few minutes were crazy going back and forth, just tons of action. So I took a picture of the score board close to the end of the game, but this was not the final score. In the last 11 three kids got fouled, so we had some free throws, and their was a botched play. (they tried to pass the ball the length of the court and it hit a pole hanging from the ceiling, being called out of bounds the ball switch hands and our boys had to get it back quick.)
FINAL SCORE 38-41
WE WON!!
WAY TO GO MIKE!!
